What To Expect

We’re so glad you decided to check us out.  We know it can feel  overwhelming to visit a church for the first time.  With that in mind, we want to answer a few questions you might have as you prepare to visit us at Maynard Church.

 

What are Maynard’s service times?

Every Sunday, we offer Small Groups, for children, youth, and adults at 9:30 am, followed by a Worship Service at 10:30am.  During the 10:30am service, we also offer specially designed worship services for our children. On Wednesday nights at 6:30pm, we have something for the whole family at Maynard. 

 

What are Maynard’s services like?

Our services are designed to minister to people at all stages of spiritual development.  We want people to have the opportunity to celebrate God together and connect with God and each other in meaningful ways. Our environment is down to earth so you can feel comfortable to participate at whatever level you choose. 

 

What are messages like?

The messages at Maynard are Bible-based and presented with personal stories and humor.  They are communicated in simplicity yet filled with wisdom and grace.  Each sermon is specifically designed to meet people where they are in their spiritual development and challenge them to grow in their walk.  Most sermons are exegetical in nature and preached from the English Standard Version of God's Word. 

 

What kind of music can I expect at Maynard?

Our worship team leads modern worship music mixed with occasional hymns set to contemporary music. We value this portion of our service and encourage the congregation to participate and experience the life and presence of God in an authentic way through song.

 

What is appropriate to wear in church?

We want you to feel comfortable when you attend Maynard, so you can wear whatever you normally wear.  You’ll see many styles of clothing when you attend, from casual to business professional.

 

What type of church is Maynard?

Maynard is a Bible-based, Christ-centered, evangelical church; part of the Southern Baptist Convention.
